Filing of application in the Trade Mark Registry for registration of a Trademark
Trademark is a type of intellectual property consisting of Name, symbol, device, word or mark which distinguish one product or services from that of other, administered by the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government Of India. The rules and provisions stated in The Trademark Act 1999.

How to apply for Trademark registration?
The Application with all other supporting documents can be filed by a person or his duly authorized agent at the appropriate office of the Trade Marks Registry within the territorial jurisdiction of which the principal place of business of the applicant is situated in India personally or by sending by post or online through official website of trademark Authority and make payment of appropriate fee.

Who can sign Trademark Application?
Within FOUR MONTHS from the date of advertisement or re- advertisement of an application for registration in the Trademarks Journal opposition may be filed to the Registrar in the manner as prescribed in the Trademarks Act and rules therein on payment of prescribed fee.
Disposal of Opposition
After completion of the formality check and submission of the evidences hearing is fixed to represent their cases by the opponent as well as applicant.
After conclusion of the hearing the Hearing officer give his decisions along with facts and materials considered by him in arriving at such decisions, at the earliest, the decision is communicated to the parties concerned as per procedure & practice of the Trademarks Registry and the status of opposition & application opposed is updated accordingly.
